Hey readers!
Hope everyone had an enjoyable final day of their labor day weekend! I was going to do some work today but instead my husband and I decided to take advantage of this last day and go for a car ride leading us to a hike! We found a new trail that we had not done yet. It was really nice and was not flooded out thankfully. The cool part was we were apart of some history on the walk which always made things that much easier! I have to say today was the perfect weather day not too hot not too cold and it was not muggy! Have some new photos to show you from the walk but they probably won't be added until later on in the week! So stay tuned for that! As of now feel free to enjoy the ones I took yesterday on the other hike and you can find those if you click on "photo hobby" at the top of the page! Enjoy your 4 day work week :) && try not to get yourself worked up on your first day back - stay calm and take it slow. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate! A tribute to something old but something new...
We’ve waited a long time for this day to come I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I’m mildly disappointed, sour - that it’s not me that will be standing by your side when it’s all said and done. Considering I only asked for this day countless times in the years that I was there with you. And each time - each year I would give a new excuse - a higher goal to reach. It wasn’t good enough to be over a 1.1 million dollar business. OH NO! Now you have to be 1.2 million to get the remodel. Anyway... I’m so happy to see that you are finally getting that remodel old girl - no one deserves it more than you. “You can’t polish a turd” - these words will apply here no more thankfully - no longer able to echo through your walls. It just sucks that it comes a little late - 4 years too late all I can say is they better take care of you like I swear I would have. And keep you sparkling clean like I warned we would when the day finally came. Not that it matters anymore...but that is my wish for you. RIP Old Girl - a new day is coming and it’s going to be beautiful. In other news... Went on a nice walk yesterday but the trail ended up being flooded out about 2 miles in so we had no choice but to turn around and head back - got some nice shots from when I did see though! You are welcome to enjoy those on the photo hobby page that can be accessed from the top of the website! Some other good news include 2 chapters away from wrapping up my latest novel. And then I have a bunch of notes that I took along the way of things I want to add so even though it’ll be done it won’t really be done if ya know what I mean ;) BUT that’s the name of the game and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Also there will be a sequel to Unforeseen for those of you that are curious! I got some big plans for it actually. It’s already all mapped out ;) and I’m thinking about starting that one when I end this one. If you enjoyed the first one - I think or hope that you’ll like the second one. I myself have high expectations for it because I am the biggest one to say “the first one was better than the second” and I think that’s the part in the back of my mind that worries / scares me. Can it or will it live up to everything that Unforeseen was?! You better believe I’m going dang try!! No giving up when the going gets tough!! Hope you are all enjoying your Labor Day weekend sure has been beautiful thus far even with the bit of rain. Also I found a cheap red mini S and was so excited about it because I could actually have afforded it but someone else got to it first - no matter because when one door closes another one opens in the form of my dream car just went on sale ekkkkk! Ugh! Me and muscle cars...who knows what I’ll get myself into honestly...it could just be the driver side seat hopefully ;) Either I am getting too old to remember such a rhyme from when I was little
OR I never said it correctly from the get go because I thought it was "Rain, rain, go away Come again another day" And that you just continuously - endlessly repeated it LOL!! I guess I am with nursery rhymes like I am with some songs... Thinking I know the lyrics by what I think it sounds like / says...only to sing it and be completely off And I mean completely off! My parents and husband enjoy listening to me sing songs that they know I butcher LOL! Be safe out there - lots and lots of flooding which we expected - the good news is it seems we are coming out of it now and that the sunshine will be returning head into the next days. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! |
