Don't get discouraged when I tell you this but every now and again...even when you try the best you can sometimes that isn't even good enough.
Now it seems all that will remain will be the initialed handprints cemented around that post. But Kelly Clarkson once sang, "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." Above all, I have to believe that God is leading you in the right direction - this is right, it has to be - but I do hope for your sake it is because like always there will be no coming back from this. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Rest in Peace - Gabby Petito <3 Of course I've been told before that things happen in threes -
Here were mine today: 1. Cut two of my fingers on the nasty garbage can just trying to throw the trash out 2. Banged part of my knee / leg off of the bathtub - hitting it so hard that it was still throbbing ten minutes later 3. While attempting to move my shampoo bottle back to its original shelf up top I grabbed it at just the wrong angle and smashed it against the cuticle on my thumb Just goes to show you be careful of the normal - households things: for even they can harm you if you let them. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! These two words are plastered everywhere I look.
On the television, on marlins, yard signs - anywhere that the words can be displayed they are. Either I’ve never seen so many now hiring signs as I have lately or they were always there and I just never noticed them. Businesses literally struggling for bodies. I feel for them because I remember being in those shoes before - needing people who simply weren't there. A time when applications just weren't flowing in on a daily basis. So yeah - it goes without saying but if you are in need of a job or looking to change career paths I think now would definitely be the time - you may find you are even able to get into a position that you couldn't acquire before. And to that I say Good Luck to you! In other news! How about you can stream the new Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis - its called Halloween Kills for free! Like free! As in that commercial that says "free, free, free, free" LOL! While it was loading I kept waiting for it throw a popup after giving us a glimpse of the beginning of the movie and then it would read on to say "to watch the rest of the feature presentation please pay $29.99" On demand always doin' me dirty! LOL! But no - it never happened. The pop up never came. And we watched it for free the whole way through. It was really good! I've always enjoyed the Halloween series ever since I was little and ever since the first one. Also I wanted to tell you I am about halfway through the editing process in the first go-around LOL! Don't forget to keep an eye out for when the paperback version of Unforeseen will be going on sale! The price drop will be from $9.99 to $4.99 for a limited time. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Music does one of two things to me: it takes me to a place I’ve been before and know all too well what happens next or it takes me to a place I’ve never been and may never be and allows me to live out what I visualize will happen next.
Music is my inspiration. When my brain and music come together they form something unpredictable. The songs are the talent that fuels my characters. The lyrics are the skill that feeds my pages. The beats are the path in which they walk. Bringing together the story they have to tell. Now that I have finished with my musical thoughts - now on to a more...touching subject shall I say... Let me tell you something: When you judge someone it does nothing beneficial for you or for the other party. In my eyes this is a type of bullying, it’s the first step that turns into bullying - a form that is presenting itself and manifesting - sure it starts out something like this, something small and you don’t see any crime in it but then it continues to evolve - you keep it going - it keeps growing like the snowball effect or a domino effect - until eventually you reach a point where you can’t stop - like a sickness - it just keeps getting worse and worse and before long you’re doing it everywhere with everything and everybody. You might not see it this way - let me help you look at from a different angle - gain a different perspective - it could first start out as silently judging a person to oneself, then you join others in your judgment by whispering to them behind another’s back, before long you feel you have so many people behind you - to back you - that you eventually begin to say it out loud, before reaching the final stage and that is saying it to the persons face. What give you the right? Freedom of speech? Is there Freedom to hurt people too? Is there a freedom to push someone to kill themselves? Oh that’s their choice - well of course that is. But you started them on that path. You caused it. You drove them to take that life. Because of something you felt you had to say. You had to get it off your chest because it was obviously bothering you that much. Oh they were weak, they couldn’t handle it? No. I’m afraid that’s not the right answer either. They wouldn’t have had to face this in the first place if it weren’t for you. The challenge of just wanting to live. When it is their time to face difficult things in life they will - it’ll be thrown at them full speed and then they will need to learn those hard lessons. But that’s not your choice. Why are you inserting yourself into a strangers life? Life is hard enough as it is without adding more unnecessary ingredients into the mix. Oh your preparing them for the real world? Wrong again! Your kinda bad at this. In the real world when you grow up and reach adulthood - when your an adult you don’t see this as often as you do in schools, at a young age - this judgment, this bullying. Adults are mature enough to handle these situations more correctly - politically and emotionally. How many adults do you hear of that killed themselves over bullying vs how many children, teens, and young adults? Now I don’t know if you have noticed but judging someone doesn’t benefit you - believe it or not. It doesn’t make you a better person, it doesn’t better you in anyway - and no I’m sorry even if this is some sort of twisted thing that makes you feel good inside, all gooey like an uncooked cookie - that’s not a benefit to you. You gain nothing from that but a few seconds of an emotion that will be gone before you form your next thought. How about you make yourself better? How about you focus on you and work on you instead of focusing on other people. Imagine what you could accomplish? What you will accomplish? Try setting a goal for something you want to do in life and reach it and then set another and another and so on and so forth. It doesn’t have to be something big or at least not right away. It doesn’t have to be something that will make the world a better place, but hey if it does that is great! Let’s start out small - something for you - something you have always wanted to learn. You want to learn how to skateboard? Let’s go and get a helmet, some pads and let’s try it. We will treat it like when we were learning to ride a bike. One baby step at a time just like before we took the training wheels off. Then we can show mom and dad how much better our balance is getting, our concentration is getting. You want to learn how to French braid your hair for school? Okay let’s watch it on YouTube then we can teach your sister how to do it. Then when that braid looks professional enough that it gains a compliment from your future boss it would’ve been worth it. You want to be an optometrist? Okay let’s head to the library or to Amazon and get some books to read up on it - so that then when you make it into that college that you worked so hard to get into you’ll already feel confident because you have a head start because you did the research, you did your homework. Your list of possibilities is endless - your voice and breath are valuable - they won’t be there forever and you never know when you won't be able to use them anymore - so let’s do something better with them - something positive for you - something beneficial for you and something that will hold value and meaning in your life. Something you’ll use whether it be for the next sixty years or not again until we reach fifteen years. One day when that kid of yours wants to learn how to skateboard you can do it right there with them. Whether it be teaching them how or relearning itself right along with them. Judging people, talking about people, bullying etc. those are not skills - anyone can do it. You just have to make the choice not to do it. You have to rise above that and be better than it. No one is going to ask you about that during a relationship or during a job interview. That’s not something interesting to put on a resume. That’s not the kind of hobby they want to know about. In the real world that is not a quality that people search for. It’s not morally correct. What are morals? Look it up. Right and wrong you’ll figure it out. We can’t make ourselves better and make this world a better place unless we start somewhere, today, now, yesterday. It starts with you. With one person. Spreading the word and changing minds - helping people to see a different side - a different angle - getting their POV’s and then after all that letting them make the final decision. Because it is your decision. It's your choice in the end after all. We are just here to give you the facts and see if in the end you feel the same. Did that just sound like a commercial for a medication? One final thought before you go - what ever happened to that person you judged? To that person you bullied? For a second put your selves in their shoes and remind yourself of what you did to them, what you said to them, how does that make you feel? How would you have felt if the situation was reversed and it was you on the receiving end? Just some ranting with a side of food for thought LOL! But mine is just another opinion like everyone we all have them. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Reading is like breathing in, writing is like breathing out

Birds aren't real Then underneath of it - in a smaller print - it read Birdwatching goes both ways I thought this was both hilarious and fitting because of the blog I wrote yesterday about birds* *see previous on for more details In other news... I was going to the restroom minding my own business when a man burst into the bathroom without even knocking - now some of you may be thinking why didn't you just have the door locked...well for me it's not that simple. Our bathroom door up in the office is kind of jacked up so I would have to slam the door to make it shut the whole way (that is if I could even slam the industrial door that hard) to get it settled into the jam correctly and then I could push the lock button and it would actually stay locked. How I shut the door I could press the lock button in a thousand times and it would keep popping out and coming unlocked. Okay so now we are all caught up - so I literally am going to the bathroom and I hear no heavy footsteps coming my way or anything there was no indication no warning - the man didn't knock. I didn't know that shut doors meant you don't knock but hey maybe I am old school. But yeah he swung the door like he knew that nobody was in there. I screamed "HEY! HOLY SHIT!" and he was in such shock that all I heard was a very brief mumble before he slammed the door back shut. The lessons here folks is lock your doors (if you can) and if you are not hang a sign on the door that says something attention catching like: "When the door is shut - please knock! Either the bathroom is occupied or the shitters clogged full!" Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Good evening readers!
Every time a flock of birds is flying over me or even one bird I worry about getting pooped on. I know it is a strange thing to think about - out of all the things - I get it! LOL! And I begin laughing as soon as the thought even enters my mind because of the silliness of it but in all seriousness how often does this happen? What is the percentage? Have you ever wondered? I hope that next time a bird flies over you that you think of this blog and laugh too - but don't look up at the sky just in case you are the victim of flying poop. And in case you were now wondering like my curious mind - I did look it up - the probability is 0.05 So last night my husband and I are in bed and I ask him: If heaven told that you have the choice to be reincarnated into either an animal or an insect what would you choose to me? My husbands reply was something on an island away from anything that could harm him and that he would want to eat fruit all day. To this I replied okay so would you want to be in the cat family or like the monkey family - something along those lines - to which he said well I don't know what all animals live on those islands but yeah maybe like a lemur. He then asked me what I would choose and I told him I always wanted to fly. So I would choose to be some kind of bird...and then I stopped and was like I WANNA BE A BAT! The confusion was evident. I then explained because birds get shot or killed and they are all out during the day when those types of things would happen but bats are still a winged creature (so that I could fly) but they are out at night so I picture them having better chances of living and not getting killed plus you never really hear about bats being found dead like you do or see birds so it leads me to believe maybe they have a better survival rate. All in all if that ever is the case I told him we should probably know what the life span is on some of these animals - because it would be my luck that whatever I picked only lived for three or five years! LOL!! In other news I was walking about the house (4AM) and I walked into the hallway to get into the hall closet - just as I opened the door I could feel this cold and I mean cold air coming down the hallway - I'm talking a gust! And it came the whole beside me. I just assumed it was probably a ghost or a spirit of some kind so I just said out loud, "Don't I'm sick." I really wasn't feeling well and didn't want to be bothered - no shenanigan's! So then I closed the hall closet and I could feel the cold air right next to me the whole time - like super close as it followed me into the living room. I then said, "I said STOP!" Then if that wasn't weird enough - I shit you not - I turned to climbed onto the couch and I felt my sock pull away from my heel slightly almost like if someone was tugging on you. After that the cold air went away and never came back. It was very odd and even now I wonder who it was. Of course when I told my husband he was freaking out and didn't want to hear it since this isn't the first time something happened in our house. Meanwhile my parents got the chills about it! It's all very odd indeed! Well that's enough ghost stories for now! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Hey everyone!
Just wanted to pop by real quick and give you some updates: 1. I am pleased to tell you that Unforeseen's sequel novel is trending up at 16% completion. She is starting to look like somethin!! Of course your main character Abriana is excited to be alive and well - she's breathing her way through the pages and loving almost every minute of it. I mean come on? It couldn't be a sequel if we didn't have twists and turns along the way, right? Let's spice it up! We do need to attempt to live up to the first one so "inner Abriana" help me out here LOL! In all seriousness did I tell you guys I already have it bubble mapped out for where we are going with this one. So the insides are there we just need to shove it in there && sew it up! Like a scarecrow...sort of...we'll talk about it later! :) LOL! I am four chapters in almost 7,000 words - mind you this is just for the first rough draft - I will need to add more meat to these chapters to make them a little more hefty - right now it is just the potatoes of what I want it to works towards - but we need to get to where the meat and potatoes together. Or the rice and veggies if I have any vegetarians out there! Don't want to forget about ya'll :) If I did forget someone else I am sorry in advance :( 2. The newest installment of my book to be out in December (fantasy) to be under my belt is 40% through the editing stages (round 1) of those of course - did I tell we go fifty rounds with these sorts of things? Usually I am the one getting knocked out but HEY! I try to stick it through there and get rid of all the mumbo jumbo-nesssssss! This will also be a series...sort of. It's weird because each book will not carry on from the same person. Each book will be a new person and their life / point of view through obviously their eyes. But it is all the same characters you love and want to hear from and know more about from the original! It'll allllllll make sense in December and if it doesn't I'll explain :) 3. Stay tuned in to the home page of this website to see when Unforeseen's paperback will be going on sale because you won't want to miss that! :) keep an eye on the mini electronic marlin board for your insider details :) Until then - enjoy your Sunday! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Hey Readers!
If you hadn't noticed yet and if you have Comcast: On-demand is featuring Peacock-October! Peacock is another platform like Hulu, Netflix, Tubi etc. where you can stream movies from They have basically a calendar set up and for every day of the month they have a different horror movie listed for October - these range from Nightmare on Elm Street to Halloween to even Chucky! And there is some new ones too like Scary stories to tell in the dark! Any who - one movie we never watched but always wanted too was Prom Night with Jamie Lee Curtis! So last night we watched that it was a really good movie if you enjoy the classics while reliving your old high school days! Such memories! And let's not figure October 15th!! Halloween Kills will be coming out!! I do love me some new installments of those movies!! Jamie Lee Curtis is the bomb dot com! LOL!! As for now I am going to enjoy watching the leaves fall outside while I am transferring a new romance novel - yet another idea that came to me while I was driving yesterday - from paperwork to my laptop LOL! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! So I received a question through Goodreads today and while I was reading it I noticed there was another.
This one read something like this: Am I able to tell a two sentence horror story? Well I can say this...I can try - although two sentences isn't a lot and isn't enough to write what I would want to write but here goes nothing... See below what I posted - My parents made me hand out candy to our trick or treaters since they were going out to party the night away - for some reason they couldn't find it in their hearts for us not to partake in it even if they weren't going to be home. Unfortunately for me I got more than just some kids begging for candy - no my night couldn't have been that simple - instead I received a towering man in the most creepy monster mask I have ever seen and to my dismay he did not want candy in his bag - instead he made it known with a knife to my throat that he wanted my head in his bag to add to his Halloween Head Collection back home. What do you think of it? Would it grab your attention - is it enough to rope you in? Do you wonder where this is all going and what is going to happen next? I would say this could be the beginning of a short story but I was never good at short stories. I prefer to write long ones instead :) Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! |
