Cuz she's done :)
Almost midnight and the sequel has been completed! The writing portion is done, and it feels really good. I am pretty happy with what I did honestly. I updated the New Arrivals page with the usual completion bar(s) to show the percentage so we can track it along the way! I know some of you like to see how far ahead or behind I am LOL! Slack-errrrr! Now that the story has been told now, we need to edit it. I'm feeling...September release...? Maybe :) What do you think??! Are you guys ready??! #metoo With the cover art being done - if I could get through editing in a month then we would be gold! I don't know why but every time I finish writing a book a huge weight feels like it's been lifted off my shoulders. But the most exciting part in all of this for me will be this will mark my third novel! That's absolutely wild! I still haven't gotten used to how crazy it is! Then once it's out the next exciting part is picking what's next! EKKKK! Tingles all over just thinking about it!! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Okay Guys!
Book UPDATE!! 96% complete!! I am almost halfway through Chapter 24 - so once I finish that then we will do 25 and that will be the end of it. I don't think the ideas I have left will stretch much further than that and I really believe that we will be ending on a really good note!! Soo...once I had reached Chapter 22, I had gotten through all of my ideas for the book and had a minor case of writer's block and then I went through and reread Unforeseen and when I reached halfway through that one it was from that point to the end that my ideas took off. It was EXACTLY what I needed and I just can't wait to finish it! With the ending and the cover - I am soooo excited about this!! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! I drove through a MONSTER storm yesterday.
So apparently it wasn't supposed to rain yesterday and then all of a sudden, we were getting a severe thunderstorm and we are supposed to watch for changing conditions...that was an understatement. It was funny because when I was walking to my car to leave work I was like, "Oh the sky is a little dark out that way - good thing I'm leaving now so I can beat it out of here." Yeah, I got about 10 minutes down the road, looked in my rearview and the sky was black, and it was coming up on us quick. So, as I'm sitting in traffic - it finally starts to break loose as we realize we are allowed to drive around the accident that had occurred - the clouds start to come over us. I had my windows down and the music was up loud as always when the wind was the first thing to hit. I'm driving through this one intersection when all the debris from the road go swept up through the air like a mini tornado and it comes barreling through the windows at me. Either a piece of plastic or a piece of glass hit me right in the face. It was freakin crazy! So, the winds blowing really bad and there's debris all over the road, branches and leaves, peoples porch pillows. But the rain didn't hit yet. And I'm just thinking if I can get out ahead of the stretch, I can beat it. I got about 10 mins away from my exit when the rain hit. It was coming down so hard and so fast I thought it was hailing too honestly. The skinnier trees standing behind the guardrails were literally bending in half from the force of the wind. I could feel the car being pushed around the road while I attempted to stay in my lane. And it was one of those rains where even the fastest windshield wipers don't work. You just can't see - even the person in front of you with their lights on. There was nothing but darkness, heavy mist in the air, brief lighting from brake lights, and thick rain. The temperature had dropped from 94 to 79 in the snap of a finger. I stayed behind a van towing a trailer because I knew he would hit the large water puddles first and blow them out before I would run through them since there was so much water flooding the roads. I can't believe I road that for an hour - the whole way from the city to home. The amount of debris on the road was insane. It was a good two hours or so to cuddle up to a horror movie honestly. It was perfect for that. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS!!
I am OBSESSED with this new book cover <3 It's officially ready - I am giving it my sign of approval! In most cases when a book has more than one novel to carry on the storyline the cover themes are relevant somehow but also different in some ways too. I made a concept of the e-book just to see what it would look like with the title and everything and then I did a concept of the paperback version with the words on the back of it. I am sooo ready to finish this!! Just looking at it I'm inspired. I can't wait to see them side by side honestly. And to smell that new book smell <3 *cracking my knuckles* final chapters here we come baby!! Hey Guys,
I had a few extra pictures hidden away that I had forgotten about. So, I started editing them...I definitely feel better about these ones than the other ones. I'm not 100% sure yet but I think I might have the cover...in these newest editions. Once I really get a better look at all of them side by side for comparions I'll have a better idea. But as of now - in a way better spot than what we were previously! YAY!!! Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! So today was a weird sort of morning...
I watched a car pass the exit ramp, stop on the turnpike and back right up into the median just to turn around. Such a shame since there didn't appear to be a mark on the car beforehand. It was like a movie stunt gone wrong. And God bless them for not being fazed enough to alarm them to get out and look at it - because that would've been my reaction right before being road kill by a tractor trailer. The other thing that happened was when a line of us got to work we found the train to be sitting on the tracks stopping our passage. So I park my car in another lot with some other people thinking oh we will just walk around it - the caboose will probably be right there. WRONG! Instead people were crawling under the train to get to the other side for work. Eager much?? Look I'm all for going to work - but I am not desperate enough to climb under the train while it's on the train tracks. My luck the train would've started to pull out while I was under there - or I would've hit my head on the part that hangs down at a peak - possibly rendering myself unconscious. I didn't feel like dying today. And certainly not by a train at least! Death by train would not be my obvious choice of the day. UGHHH!
This is not good new guys...so out of 12 pictures I made 9 of them into "something" if I can even call it that. Then out of the 9 I choose to move forward with 3 - testing them out as the e-book cover to see what they would look like. The one is a definite NO! The other one is ok and the last one is better than the one before, but I still don't get that feeling I had before. That "this is the one" feeling when I look at it. The concept of what I pictured is completely there - as are the colors but it just doesn't look, I don't know...maybe as clearly as I was hoping for? So, the two options are to rework it from scratch or move forward with something completely different. I guess the good news is I found some unexpected pictures left in my reel from a month ago or so that I had completely forgotten about so I might start there first and see if I can make something pop with one of those. BUT the good news is I wrote what the back of the book will say <3 YUMMM! There's just something about lovers that hate each other. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! When 8 hour days go to 10 hour days go to 11 hour days go to 12 hour days go to 13 hour days
I'm just ready to sleep forever. I feel like I should just pack up a cot and move it to work since I'm basically living there right now LOL! I don't mind working a lot until it catches up to me and I find myself not being able to drive in or drive home because I'm that physically tired. I had forgotten what it felt like to doze off behind the wheel until a couple days ago. It's been years since I did that - back when I was working 70 hours...and maybe that's why I find myself doing it again because I am working close to 60 hours every week. And let's face it I'm just not as young as I used to be when I pulled those hours. When neither the heat nor the cold helps to keep you awake - when nothing helps - that's when you know you're really in trouble - either pull of the road or get to where you're going already because it's about to be lights out. I took some pictures and by some, I mean 10 LOL for potential covers for Unforeseen's sequel. I won't know if I'll be happy with any of them until I start tweaking them. I think I'm going to work on that some tonight. Hopefully within these ones I'll find a diamond (fingers crossed) If not, we'll just keep trying until I'm happy with it. Did I tell you guys I'm halfway through Chapter 22 already? Should be wrapping it up around 25 so we are super-duper close to it be done (written wise) HOLY MOLY! I'm ready. I'm ready to start with something fresh, I think. I don't know I'm still debating which direction we are heading next. But either way we go - I can't wait to go on this journey with you guys! && I appreciate you staying onboard with me! I'll let you know how the cover goes ;) Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! There's something about a heavy rain during a hot day.
The look of it, the smell of it. It takes me back to the days when I was a little girl playing with my flower sprinkler in the yard that would twist and turn to spray all around like a wild acting fire hydrant hose. It would be a hot sunny day before the dark clouds came and let the rain loose. In other news I was heading out of work when I saw glimpses of flashing. Here one of the guys was welding and the flashes were bouncing shadows off the walls. It reminded me of when the electricity was flipped to bring Frankenstein alive. And all you saw was the shadows bouncing of the walls. Just some random thoughts that popped into my head to share. Stay safe out there && I appreciate ya! Hey everyone!
Good news Unforeseen's sequel has now reached chapter 22!! I'm about halfway through it and I think we will be ending it at chapter 25! So, completion rate is about 88% and whenever I do wrap it up, I'll need about a month to do corrections and cover art. We are currently standing at 41,500 words - trying to keep it close to the original. And I am surprised to say that I have put in everything I had mapped out - to the point where the last two chapters will get to be me bringing in whatever comes to my head. Literally can't wait!! I'm getting that itch to just be done though...I'm ready to move on to something else. What should we do next horror or The Queen of Hearts sequel??? Note that The Queen of Hearts will only be two books. It might be good to close out all the oldies but goodies once and for all. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! |
