Thank you Hilary Duff for allowing me to borrow and semi-re-write "Come Clean" :)
Let the snow fall down And wake my dreams Let it wash away my sanity Cause I wanna feel the thunder I wanna scream Let the snow fall down I'm coming clean I'm coming clean I'm so glad I got to enjoy the large hunks of snow that came barreling through the air this morning outside the bay window. It's funny that now we may enjoy the change but after Christmas is over we will wish it all goes away. I also find it funny that I immediately broke out a pair of fluffy pants to where today that features our friend Olaf :) (for the those of you who don't know - he is a snowman from the movie Frozen) AND THE SMELL OF FALL LEAVES!!! I miss that smell. And how fast some of the leaves came and went from the trees - it's so sad :( the once colorful woods is now turning to shades of barky brown. WHO IS READY FOR SOUP? Or is it too early for me to ask that? LOL! In other news! I finished reading "The Cellar" by Natasha Preston - it was a really good read. I would recommend it. I also found out that there is a sequel so I will be picking that up soon! Along with the mound of books that I have yet to get caught up on. Stay safe out there && as always I appreciate ya! We had to have an electrician come to the house today to do a few simple things and when I say a few I literally mean two.
My husband found a company on the internet that was supposedly from our area and they were certified electricians and could handle what we needed done. GREAT! WRONG! So when they got here the man had a problem with either wearing booties or taking his shoes off - in our home which has brand new hardwood flooring. His argument was he just bought his shoes and that they are brand new... OKAY? So you buy new shoes everyday? And where were you before you came to our house? Did you walk through dog shit? Where you in a dirty restroom using their toilet? Did you walk in someone else spit on the ground and didn't know it? Are you going to clean my floor? Are you going to get down on your knees and scrub my brand new floor? Are you? Yes or no? Because it's as simple as a question as that. He also refused to wear booties because it was a legal liability. It was workmen's comp. People have fallen and cracked their head open and bled everywhere. And that they were too much of a pain to put them on and take them off. Instead of him coming in here and saying it nicely he looked at my husband and said, "Here's how it's going to go." Right then I would've said you're not going to tell ME how it's going to go in MY HOUSE! We are paying for your business. We are YOUR customer. So if you don't want to make our money and refuse to do what we ask then don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you! So me - with my Italian temper - was jacked at how he was talking to my husband. But since he didn't give me the time of day since HEY I GUESS I'M JUST A WOMAN he's too good to look at me since he's above me and all that other superior bullshit - I didn't get the chance to tell him where to go. He wanted to charge $2700 for two things that we needed and he wanted the cash now. When we already paid $159 just for him to come out and look. They didn't mind wearing masks but then when I came down into the basement they had no masks on? I wanted to call the place and rip them a new @$$hole not caring if he was a boss or the owner or whatever - whoever he was. There is no need for someone to talk to anyone like that! But my husband insisted I not because they were asking many personal questions and they were not to be trusted. And refused to give me the company's name. I just don't want someone else being treated that way or getting ripped off. Be aware who you let into your house - certified or not - and if you get a feeling - go with it. Send them away. Stay safe out there && as always I appreciate ya! I saw that ladybug today on the wall and it brought me some joy in thinking of you.
I needed that smile today. Thank you Grandpap <3 Happy Birthday Grandma <3 Hold your grandparents a little tighter tonight and every night. Always kiss them and hug them before you depart from their company. Show them how much they are cherished still to this day and how much they are loved. Stay safe out there && as always I appreciate ya! I apologize for not writing to you in some time...
I must confess I haven't had much to say lately...it took me days and days to even conjure up this very thought I haven't even been thinking clearly lately... My mind is filled with an endless fog and I stand alone in it carrying only a lantern that barely throws light on my face I can't see what is behind me, what is in front of me or even what is right beside me If you were standing next to me I can assure you I wouldn't notice I am stuck - staring straight ahead at the nothingness of this moment...of these moments ahead of me I don't know what they are and I don't know what my future will hold - right now I am just taking it slow - day by day and trying to get through every day one step at a time I used to look at the future and plan ahead but as of now I find myself not worrying about tomorrow or the next day or the day after that I can only focus on the now and what is happening in this moment The shred of anything that gives me even the slightest bit of feeling is writing It has been and will always be my escape - my savior - my path I hope you never know pain like this and if you do I hope it ends quickly - I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy You say things like this all the time - how your life can change in an instant but you never think that a day might come when it actually happens - when your colored world turns dark and you suddenly live in the dullness of black and white As if someone broke the only light bulb in your room - the only source of light - when the light is stripped from you and you are left feeling... But there is beauty in black and white - there is - you just have to find it - to find the positivity in it - looking at the cup half full instead of half empty Just remember that any kind of separation is not the end of your life - it's only the beginning Everything happens for a reason and I have always strongly believed in that saying It's a new chapter for you to start - new memories to make - a new you to become Don't waste your chance to be who you want to be in this start over or do-over as someone once described it to me as And one more thing - they say a break up can also rock the people around who are in a relationship - those who know you or your significant other - so to those I say - hold your loved ones a little tighter - tell them you love them and mean it - make each minute count - as depressing as it may sound: you never know if it all may end tomorrow - just love them - because they deserve it and so do you </3 <-- it's been a hot minute since we've used this symbol LOL In other news We hit a deer on Tuesday - not just any deer but a dead deer on the turnpike - she was as big as the lane itself (and yes it was a female of that I am sure) The hit was so hard that the car actually launched itself into the air and then came crashing down hard - nose first Talk about a wake up call for your early start in the morning Of course a mix of coffee and water was spilled all over me because that accident itself just wasn't enough apparently What else did we learn during this? 1. Fall is the time that deer are more on the move than ever 2. Tow trucks are hard to get ahold of at 4 o'clock in the morning 3. Do NOT drive your car any further once the engine temp reaches its max temp 4. Trying to rent a car is more difficult these days 5. Car parts are hard to come by these days 6. Do NOT swerve to miss it if someone else is in the lane next to you 7. Use your high beams - even on the turnpike 8. Treat a bend you can't see ahead of you as if something is there 9. Don't settle for the first company you get to come pick you up - if they can't get to it for 3 hours keep calling until you get someone who can get to you sooner 10. Let the police know about the deer so that they can have the road side assistance remove it before someone else gets seriously hurt 11. Notice your mile marker number - both close to where you hit the deer and where your current location is Book Delivery! Previously I had promised you guys that Unforeseen would be going on sale - I had originally plan to list it at $4.99 but apparently I cannot list it that low due to multiple reasons The lowest I could set the price to was $6.12 so that is what I did! Please help spread the word about Unforeseen's paperback price change from $9.99 to $6.12 for anyone who enjoys a thriller - suspense - romance - crime novel :) that is a great price for a novel in my opinion This offer will only be available on Amazon currently - please be aware it may take a day or two for the price change to happen on Amazon's website - thanks! Updates Edits on the fantasy novel being released in December will be resuming shortly as I had taken a break from that as well for a few weeks - I will continue to do my best to ensure I meet this deadline Also note that there was no October newsletter due to certain circumstances Drive safe out there everyone && as always, I appreciate ya! |
