new
/no͞o/adjective
There's just something about buying something new. That tingling feeling, the look of a shiny new box, that new smell once you start to crack everything open. And then of course just the look of it when you start laying all the pieces out. The pride you feel. And how much you want nothing more than to take care of it. I always get excited when I get a new piece of technology that I've been craving but never needed until the moment arises. It's like that feeling you get when you buy a new phone case. In other news: I love this time of year - grills, hotdogs, burgers, beers, salty chips, sauerkraut, and potato salad. YUM! I crave that grill taste when the summer comes. Enjoy your good foods and fireworks - and please don't get hurt - apparently that's being a big enough thing that they had to do a snap shot of it every night on the news. Also: I was debating between the next novel as I continue to work on Unforeseen's sequel. Next will be one of three things: 1. Trilogy meaning the final third book of the Unforeseen series 2. The Queen of Hearts sequel (which no matter there will eventually be one) 3. Something else entirely Option 3 came about when I was looking through my next tale to tell and found a piece I had written with already 10,000 words...it was a horror story from May of last year apparently. At first I didn't recognize it from the title - then I kept scrolling down, copyright page, quotes, dedications, and finally the first chapter began where I remembered EXACTLY which one this was. Just like that I was sitting back on that couch...sinking into its soft cushions while explaining it. A horror movie played in background (of course) as I attempted to conjure up the most scariest monster I had ever seen to describe it in the book. So...yeah that one will come eventually. It's time like these that I am glad to be self-published. I can write whenever I want with no deadline and I can write whatever genre I feel like at the time. Well...I guess it's time for bed - unfortunately the wee hours of the morning come fast. Stay safe out there && as always, I appreciate ya! Comments are closed.
