When a spider story becomes a spider lesson

Welcome Readers,

Just wanted to tell you about my experience exiting my workplace today

So, I get in the car ready to go –

Feelin good it’s the end of the day –

We made it through Monday – and we are going home

You know all that…

As I am sitting there waiting for my husband, I get a text from him telling me he is going to be late due to a meeting

Okay no biggie I’ll just hang out…but it’s hot outside – so I have two options

1. Put the windows
2. Run the A/C

So, my first thought is I’m going to put the windows down while I wait because yes it was hot out but it did have a nice little breeze

But no sooner that I put the key in the car that a little voice inside my head told me not to put the windows down

Now usually I don’t listen to the voice and I wind up wishing that I had in the end so this time I did

I chose to put the air on cold with no A/C for the time being

Before long I see something out of the corner of my eye – looking to my right I see a spider running, not walking on the other side of my window – doing what spiders do – spreading a web as it did

What do I do next you ask? Well…I do what I normally do I follow it – to keep eyes on where it is going – which of course it disappears so I can’t see it anymore

In this moment I am full blown panicking – my mind is going wild telling me that it’s going to get inside the car and when we are driving home it’s going to get inside – on my side no doubt – and I will be freaking out, screaming and it will be a shat show, period the end

Since I didn’t want to open my door up in fear of letting it in what I did was I crawled over to the driver side seat and got out the opposite door – telling myself that it was safe

I am fast walking to the other side of the car to see where it was

And just like a spider…BOOM! IT WAS GONE!

I am super panicking now – breathing heavy, sweating, eyes searching over every corner of the car

After some time of looking over the passenger side of the car and seeing nothing I decide to walk back over to driver side – this was when I saw it pop out of the crease of the trunk lid

It took one look at me and went right back in and stayed in there for awhile

Then I stood there and waited staring at that same spot for a long time…nothing happened and he didn’t come out

Before too long I saw it pop out of the crease on the opposite side of the trunk lid

I walk over there and every direction I moved it moved

I moved to right it moved to, I moved to the left it moved to the left

It was hardcore watching me, staring me down

Let me tell you it was a very pretty looking spider – one of the prettiest I have ever seen and I have seen A LOT of spiders! (Don’t ask why because I have no idea)

It was a black spider with white spots all over it - if I could have gotten a picture of it I would have but it moved so fast!

When I came home, I was curious and decided to look it up it’s called a daring jumping spider – the one I saw looked more like a regal jumping spider

During my research I learned they are non-aggressive and don’t pose any serious danger to us

I also learned that they may bite in self-defense which can result in slight pain and small itchy bumps on your skin that can heal quickly

So basically, I came to the conclusion that when it was turning every direction, I was it was most likely getting ready to jump on me because it was mad and pretty much eat me ☹

I guess the lesson here folk’s is don’t provoke your enemy or you just might get what you don’t want in the first place

And the other lesson is to enjoy the beauty you find in the creatures around you even if you don’t fancy the creature

No matter how much I don’t like them, it’s quite a beautiful animal, I can appreciate it

Remember that every story can be a lesson if you choose to see it that way 😊
